The first football world cup was held by Uruguay in 1930. 13 countries participated in that tournament. 9 countries from the USA & 4 countries from Europe. Uruguay vs Argentina played the Final match. The Host country won the first football world cup and the host country Uruguay beat Argentina by 4-3 goals in front of 93.000 people at Centenario Stadium in Montevideo city.
The world cup’s first goal was scored by Lucien Laurent of France. After 4 days the first Hat-Trick was scored by Bert Patenaude of the USA. Then in 1934 the 2nd football world cup was held in Italy and the same record repeated, the host country Italy won that 2nb football world cup but in the year 1938, the 3rd football world cup was held in France and Italy is the defending champion won the world cup again for the 2nd time. In this tournament Ernest Willimowski the Polish Stricker scored 4 goals against Brazil and he was the first player who scores 4 goals in football world cup history but Brazil won that game 6-5 goals.
After that, The Second World War was started and the Football World Cup Tournament was discontinued. According to the rules of the Football World Cup, every Football World Cup is held every 4th year. So, the 1942 and 1946 Football world cup tournament was cancelled for Second World War II reason.
In the Year 1950, Brazil got the opportunity to organise the 4th Football world cup tournament. Here, only this time INDIA got the opportunity to participate in the Football World Cup. Uruguay was the champion in this 4th World Cup Tournament.

FIFA World Cup Trophy

In the year 1930 when The first Football World Cup Tournament was organized by FIFA in Uruguay that time the trophy name was Jules Rimet Trophy. He was the President of FIFA. The longest president of FIFA. He holds this position for 33 years (1921 - 1954). Also, He worked as the president of the French Football Federation in the year of 1919 to 1942. FIFA gave the name Jules Rimet Trophy as his honour.
On the Football World Cup journey, there is two trophies had been used. The first one named was Jules Rimet Trophy and the second one was named FIFA World Cup. After the final Football world cup match the winning team or champion country gets the Football World Cup Tournament trophy from the FIFA world cup association.
Now, let us know about the Trophy. There are two trophies had been used for this world cup. First, is Jules Rimet Trophy from 1930 to 1970 and The FIFA World Cup Trophy continues from 1970 to the present day.

Each game has 90 minutes of playing time, 45 minutes in the first half and the second half is 45 minutes. If the play is stopped for any reason, the referees will add an extra few minutes. This is called extra minutes.
Every team is playing with 11 number of player, there is 1 player for goalkeeping, and the other players are defenders, wingers, midfielders and strikers. This is a team game, you need to know every player's strategy and instruction in your team. You can not win the game with a one-man army strategy like in other games.
A total of 32 teams are going to participate in this tournament. The first round of matches is a group stage match, all the teams face their opponent country or team one by one, and after the match, winner team gets 1 point each, there are no elimination or knock-out rules. After the 1st round, 16 teams will qualify for the second round as per the points table. Those teams standing in the top position they are going to the second round In every group, the top 2 teams will qualify for the second round on a points basis. Those who hold the top most points, they are getting qualified for the next round.
This is the second round, and it is a knock-out round. If one team will lose the game then they are not qualified for the next round. All the game is a do-or-die match, This is the stage where every game is going to have extra time if the result will not come in the sanctioned time (90 minutes) then extra 30 minutes will be given in this game, First, half is playing 15 minutes and the second half is playing 15 minutes. If the game still has no result or draw then Tiebreaker shooting will start, It means every team gets a chance to shots to the goalpost, whereas the goalkeeper is standing on the goalpost. The final rule is if it still has “no result or draws” then the toss will happen and the winning team will go to the next round. Accordingly, the semifinal stage and final match will come. Finally, we have one team as a winner and another team as a runner in this tournament.

- Round Of 16 (Dec 3 - Dec 6)
- Quarter Final (Dec 9 - Dec 10)
- Semi-Final (Dec 13 - Dec 14)
- 3rd Place (Dec 17)
- Final (Dec 18)

- Every first round of matches will be played in the Round Robin Format. It means two matches will be played (Home and Away match) but now one match will play in neutral territory.
- The next round is knocked out format. If you lose then you will be out of the game.
- If you win then you will get 3 points, Draw for the 1 point and 0 for a loss.
- If two team has the same points then the goal difference will count for the qualify.
- Fair play points for every team:
- First, a yellow card means 1 point is deducted.
- A second yellow card means 3 points are deducted.
- A direct Red card means 4 points are deducted.
- Yellow and a direct red card mean 5 points are deducted.
- If you get a red card then you miss the next match.
- One team wears a light colour jersey and the opponent team wears a dark colour jersey.
